Not sure of the designer details for Rachel’s look, but she looks quite gorgeous in this LWD — such great geometric details.

Gal Godot — Batman v Superman London Premiere

No designer details for Gal either, but she looks red hot!! The embellishments on the straps are such a great detail.

Kira Kosarin — Kids Choice

Kira is really workin’ this sparkly white mini by Parker NY. The rest of her look details are as follows —

jiff-the-dog-435By far, no one was this adorable or cute on the red carpet right!!

And The 2015 Award Season Marches On…

The Oscars still remain, but in the mix of all the main red carpet Grammys hoopla, there were a few other red carpet events over the past week that are worthy of some Best Dressed nods — BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts), Grammys performance looks, after party looks, and more! For the Grammys after-party, namely Warner Bros, other partners were Spotify & DeLeon.

Here is my Best Dressed Round-Up list, ENJOY!

Reese Witherspoon

Reese is ravishing in this deep purple Stella McCartney dress, paired perfectly with some elegant Tiffany & Co. jewelry pieces. And with just a peep, she is also matching with dark purple Jimmy Choo heels. (BAFTA)

Laura Haddock

Laura looks ethereal and magical in this ivory Ashi Studio gown, complete with a full ball gown tulle skirt. She is continuing her royal-like treatment with some exquisite diamond De Beers jewelry pieces. Her natural beauty look, soft nude lip, is courtesy of Lancôme UK. And her chic updo, a chignon, is by Chris Williams. (BAFTA)

Elizabeth Banks

While attending the Love & Mercy premiere during the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany Elizabeth truly donned a work of art with this stunning burgundy embellished Elie Saab Couture dress. She looks radiant from head to toe, including her statement-making Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Giuliana Rancic

Debuting at her 1st Grammy Awards, for pre-coverage on the Red Carpet, Giuliana went with super chic black Steven Khalil gown. I love the details here, the slit, open neckline, sheer detailing on the sleeve — it’s all great!

She coordinated with her look, classic black heels by Gianvito Rossi and lots of diamonds, diggin’ the Jack Vartanian earrings!

Rosamund Pike

Rosamund looks gorgeous in all black, thanks to Roland Mouret with this amazing haltered, understated gown. Keeping with the minimalistic route, she is donning a few diamond pieces from Bulgari. (BAFTA)

Lea Seydoux

Lea looks striking and brimming with sunshine in this canary yellow Prada gown with side cutouts. This is the perfect look for her. This color can be very hard to pull off and she is pulling it off amazingly! (BAFTA)

Natalie Dormer

Such a classic look, but I really loved that Natalie made it her own and spiced things up a bit with these cobalt blue lace gloves. But I really do love this 2-tone navy blue & black Sophia Kah gown, flowing so beautifully with a lace train. Paired with her look, black Casadei heels and Yoko London jewels. (BAFTA)

Holliday Grainger

EE British Academy Film Awards 2015 - Red Carpet Arrivals

Not sure the designer for this elegant number, but it’s simply beautiful, classic black & white, the draping, just magnificent! And to top off her ladylike ensemble, Holliday is donning some breathtaking diamond jewelry pieces from De Beers. (BAFTA)

Maria Menounos

Maria is the embodiment of sexyglam in this black Emilio Pucci mini with lace details. And also, I mean, LEGS FOR DAYS, right! Karla Otto worked wonders in finding this perfect look for her. (Grammys)

Giannetos Dimitris too did a fabulous job with Maria’s hair — in love with this chic braid!

And you can’t forget even the tiniest of details, such as how terrific this nail art is, kudos to Nail Job Love.

Heather McComb

Huge fan of Mac Duggal and thus now, huge fan of Heather — definitely workin’ this super fresh & fly LBD, with little twists & exciting details, such as sheer lace effects & embellishments. This is the perfect look for Heather while attending a pre-Grammy party, hosted by Primary Wave, also partnered with Brand Synergy Group & Cross. Coordinating perfectly with her look, another fave brand of mine, ashlyn’d clutches, and this charming little black clutch!

Styling was on point here, so kudos to Chic Little Devil Style House.

Dana Ward

Dana Ward_Mac Duggal(2)

Dana is the executive producer & host for ClevverTV, so of course she had to look super amazing & sexy while conducting some live Grammy coverage. And that she did in this gorgeous black & nude Mac Duggal mini.

Ariana Grande

I wasn’t in love wit Ariana’s red carpet look, too much dangling fabric. But I am head over heels for this Versace dress with a haltered neckline and cutouts. It was the right look for her moving performance!

Laura Bailey

Laura looked out of this world in this textured white Emilia Wickstead gown. It was demure and very ladylike; I’m a fan! (BAFTA)

image Felicity Jones

What a look! Felicity looks mesmerizing in this floral embellished 2-tone Dior gown. It’s magically enchanting and I’m entranced! She has paired with her look some understated diamond jewelry pieces —  Van Cleef and Arpel vintage earrings. (BAFTA)

Fifth Harmony

Republic Records And Big Machine Label Group Post GRAMMY CelebrationThe ladies were out and all lookin’ good while partying after the Grammys, at Republic Records And Big Machine Label Group Bash that night at Warwick. These girls are always coordinating, yet still all looking great — phenomenal!

“London Calling” for This Fashion Mogul

halflucidLONDONcollectionAuthor. Jewelry designer. Fashionista. Fashion Blogger. Journalist. Traveler. Writer. This in a nutshell describes the amazingly talented Kendra L. Saunders. There is of course more to say than this, and that is why I am very thrilled to introduce my Fashion Nexus readers to this creative spirit. Specifically, I am dying to show off the latest pieces for her jewelry brand, half-lucid Jewelry. Kendra was so kind to feature my fashion blog on her blog, Kendry Bird. And I am of course more than happy to support another strong woman in the fashion industry. So throughout this post, I hope you enjoy seeing the pieces for Kendra’s London Capsule Collection for half lucid Jewelry.

“Camden Market” Babecatchers — multicolored tassels

Kendra was excited to travel to England. She says “England had a charismatic effect on my creativity, inspiring me to look at the world in a new way.” The materials she used to make these jewelry pieces directly hailed from her travels. The collection was inspired from 2 distinct sides of London — ” (1) the gray, foggy and beautiful colors of an evening in the city, and (2) the colorful and frequently exotic world markets.” These earrings are truly statement-making and eye-catching.

“Fox Fox Sake” Boho Swingers

half lucid jewelry pieces are unique, 100% handcrafted, recycled, and/or resourced jewelry. The 2 main types of earrings are Babecatchers and Boho Swingers. Babecatchers are bold and show-stopping. They are custom-made and can be done in almost any color, and you can also choose the size of the tassels. In addition, you can further customize your danglers by incorporating ribbons or beads.

Islington’s Wings — black & white Babecatchers

Boho swingers are lighter weight earrings that are all about movement.

“Brick Lane” Boho Swingers — yellow tassels

These pieces are very one of a kind, truly stunning, very captivating. The London inspiration comes in loud and clear. I could see the pieces working well with both casual and upscale looks. These pieces would be super fun when styling a look for any occasion, day or night.

So again, Kendra is a lover of many worlds. She is definitely a fellow fashionista and blogger. We connected over a mutual love of Project Runway. She has conducted many interviews with designers. Make sure to check her out across the social media spectrum — Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter.

Kendra not only writes for her blog or about fashion, but she also has penned a few novels — Inanimate Objects, Death and Mr. Right, Geminis & Past Lives, and Overlapping Visions. Coming soon, The Unlove Spell and Dating an Alien Pop Star.

Kendra is a true talent, flourishing with creativity. I would keep my eye on this one. I have no doubt she is going places!

London Calling to the PR All-Star Designers

Screen Shot 2014-12-05 at 2.47.01 PM

No wars or battles declared, just some fierce outerwear looks to come down the runway. PRAS was not on last week. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! But I’m super excited it was back on this week and not just because I love the show — it’s all for selfish reasons! The challenge for the week was all about outerwear and I am on a quest for a new coat. It was great to get some ideas from this episode so thanks PRAS designers!!

PR was also all about Paddington Bear and London this week. The episode began with the huge announcement the designers would be off to London. The reason for the trip to London was to celebrate the arrival of Paddington Bear to the big screen. But of course to also get the details on this week’s challenge and gain some inspiration. Once in London, the designers met Zanna at Paddington Station. To their total and utter surprise, they were also greeted by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York!

Zanna and the Duchess reminded the designers that Paddington Bear was famous for his duffle coat. Also, since they were in London, to remember the weather definitely made the need for a great coat a must. So this week, the designers were asked to design an outdoor coat. For an added incentive, the Duchess offered to wear the winning design. They were then off to take a tour of the city, to take in the sites, soak up the atmosphere, and gain some inspiration, while sketching.

After their tour, the designers were off to the Mood of London, MacCulloch & Wallis, with a budget of what worked out to be $324 US dollars. Sonjia was loving all of the different, unique fabrics, so much so that she really couldn’t make up her mind as to what fabrics she wanted to use. This created some tension with Ben since he also wanted to use a fabric Sonjia was debating over. Sonjia won out, although I really don’t get all of the fuss over this lackluster light grey fabric — total snooze-fest!

Before heading back to the states to begin this 1-day challenge the designers took in one final sit-down with Zanna and the Duchess. They took in some afternoon tea at the luxurious Intercontinental London Park Lane.

Screen Shot 2014-12-05 at 2.47.56 PM

But down-time was soon over as everyone headed back home and to the workroom. Dmitry was upset his neoprene had not traveled well; it was now all crinkly. Ben too was still a bit upset over having to change-up his fabric, but was quickly getting over it and finding peace with his new brown plaid fabric.

It was then Zanna-time! She was worried mainly over Dmitry & Ben’s work. For Dmitry it was a matter of him getting all of his work done. For Ben, it was not having his look be too cartoon-like. I was then surprised at her harsh final words for the designers. She said she gave them an all-star experience with their trip to London and she was not in return seeing all-star quality with their work. She said to not embarrass her in front of the judges. I was shocked because she mainly seemed to give positive critiques. So come on PRAS, if you want dramatic effect with Zanna’s words, it has to match what we just saw during her critiques!

Screen Shot 2014-12-05 at 2.48.16 PM

Once again, no Georgina! But filling in the judges’ seats as guest judges were actress Debra Messing and singer/songwriter Karen Elson, who was also named British Model of the Year.

The top & bottom pretty much made sense. Lately I’ve been in disagreement with the judges as to who wins each week and who goes home more so than who actually lands in the top & bottom. Since my main disagreement this week was over who went home, let’s start my discussion with the bottom 3.

Jay was in the bottom 3, but not in danger of going home. This made sense and I assumed as much. It was no surprise he landed in the bottom. His coat/vest combo had way too much going on. And for me, if I could pick any 2 colors I would never want to wear on a coat, it would be this light grey and mustard yellow. So seeing both colors in one jacket, needless to say, I was not a fan!

Jay had some great ideas, but he really shouldn’t have used them all in one look! Different colors and a more simplistic design, he would have rocked the runway.

I knew Samantha would land in the bottom this week. In my book, she should have been the one to go, but I had a sneaking suspicion it would be Ben who was out, whether I agreed with the decision or not. I get both looks had some design problems. But with Samantha, she also had execution issues and a very poor fabric choice. And idk what Alyssa was smokin’ by saying she loved the back of this jacket — it was lopsided! Also, this was not Samantha’s first go-round with poor execution issues.

Love this Mary Kay beauty make-up look, great dark smoky eye & daring burgundy lip. But back to this not so thrilling coat, the judges were 100% right in critiquing her poor fabric choice. I get her story with it and how it related to London and the ornate details. But this is a show where a barely there print is just not going to cut it on the runway. I don’t buy that out of all the gorgeous London fabrics this was the only one she could find. I get that she loved it, but with a 2nd stint now on PR, knowing on the runway your fabric choice has to pop, her decision made no sense.

So even though I have my long list of reasons why Samantha should have been the one to go, I knew unfortunately it was going to be Ben. It’s almost as if this season you can easily predict who is going to go, whether it’s from prominent feature in the episode or a certain judges clear dislike of a designer. And yes, there has been some obvious judges’ dislike of designers this season. I think Isaac was the one who very much wanted Ben’s elimination.

This is not to say Ben’s jacket didn’t have any issues. The flounce was off-putting. And yea, I’m not sure why he was so into these clear brown vinyl pockets. If he wanted to play with textures, he could have done that with the pockets, but kept in a solid fabric choice, perhaps even throw in a pop of color.

But I did find some positives with Benjamin’s coat, which is why to me, this was not the worst look this week and was not the one deserving of the axe. The judges thought the coat was junior and drab, which actually makes no sense. Generally junior means fun, not boring, so I don’t get those two adjectives being used together when describing this coat. I liked his fabric choice — way better than the light grey he originally wanted. I think he lucked out there! But no flounce and no clear vinyl, Ben could have made this work. I’m not sure what Samantha could have done to make her coat work at all outside of a whole new design in a whole new fabric.

QVC shout-out, love these black booties! Predictability was the clear name of the game this week. And knowing that, it didn’t make me understand the bottom, but the top I got. I hated seeing Dmitry miss out on another win, but at least this time, his 2nd place made sense. I think his previous 2 looks were by far more deserving of a win. But this jacket was still worthy of a top 3 placement. There was something so artsy and luxurious about it. It was definitely deserving of runway show and praise.

The tulle was intriguing and Dmitry really made it work after his neoprene disaster. But I was left to wonder the practicality of the jacket. Would it serve it’s purpose it keeping one warm? Michelle mentioned something about a stiffness and so I also wondered if this jacket would be one you would want to wear? I’m sure it would be, but maybe just for show, for a special occasion. And over Fabios’, there was something more regal about the the look.

So Fabio was the outerwear victor this week. Also with Chi hair care shout-out, chic bun, and Mary Kay make-up shout-out, bold burgundy lip and smoky eye. Fabio did some great work this week. He made a great coat and yes, coat, not a dress as Dmitry kept calling it. The color-blocking was great, the mixing of textures, it was all fabulous!

I’m not sure I see the Duchess in this coat, but plenty of women would love to wear it nonetheless. I agreed with Debra in that it wasn’t something I had seen before. And of all the coats that came down the runway, it was the most innovative.

Justin’s coat was too amazing this week. It looked very practical in terms of being a fully functional coat, well until the model walked back down the runway.

I’m not sure why you would want to wear a coat with such a fully exposed back. The front closure was great, but the design didn’t work from the back. There was just so much that was great about the coat until the back so top 3 made sense, but no win! The pop of burgundy with the lining was another terrific detail. The wraparound scarf was perfect, but ahhhh, the back, just can’t let it go!

Very excited about this rolling of the dice next week, can’t wait!

Best Dressed Round-Up!

Red carpets are always ongoing. Here is a list I put together of some best dressed looks that caught my eye over the past week or so! ENJOY!!

Jessica Alba  jessica-alba-290

Jessica looks like a princess in this Andrew Gn ballgown while attending the Baby2Baby event. The gold leaf printed bodice is quite captivating. And adding some more perfect gold speckles of color are her Brian Atwood clutch and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Elizabeth Banks

It’s as if Elizabeth is wearing a work of art in this exquisite Elie Saab plunging V-neck gown. She was attending the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.

Her gorgeous dress had flickers of sparkle all over, but were not the only bits of shimmer for her look. Diamond Suzanne Kalan earrings and Casa Reale rings certainly added the right amount of additional sparkle to top of Banks’ look!

Needless to say, this ensemble is a stunner from all angles!

Kate Hudson  kate-hudson-1-290

Can you say Gucci from head to toe!?! Well that is exactly what Kate is rockin’ with this breathtaking look for the 2014 LACMA Art + Film Gala, which was honoring Barbara Kruger & Quentin Tarantino. She is glowing in a fitted blush pink Gucci gown. She paired perfectly with her outfit a sparkling silver Gucci clutch, as well as Gucci heels, which you really can’t see, but they are there! While not Gucci, her Chrome Hearts jewelry pieces were great touches to pair with her overall look.

olivia-wilde-290  Olivia Wilde

Simplistically minimal looks can still be spot on & great red carpet looks. Take for example this chic, fitted black Michael Kors dress, complete with sparkling embellishments and a sexy side cut-out. She sure made for some hot arm candy to support her husband Jason Sudeikis while attending the UK premiere of Horrible Bosses 2 in London.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer makes for another great looking attendee on the red carpet for the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. This floral embroidered Dior high-low dress was a good choice for her, elegant, sweet, and flirty! Perfectly coordinating with her look were Norman Silverman Diamonds earrings.

Jennifer Aniston

I’m all about some lace and I love this sexy lacy, floral-embroidered Zuhair Murad dress Jen is rockin’ while she was attending The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards. She went subtle with her jewelry choices wearing a lovely gold Melissa Kaye bracelet.

jessica-chastain-290  Jessica Chastain

Back to back stunning red carpet looks for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards. Jessica looked divine in this ivory Nina Ricci dress. The look is understated, but I still love the details, such as the lace on the plunging neckline. She made use of some great accessories to complete her look — silver Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, silver Ivy ring, and diamond Le Vian earrings.

Uma Thurman  uma-thurman-290

Uma is sportin’ a great black dress at The Bambi Awards, always a staple on almost any red carpet. Her fitted strapless number is Atelier Versace. She had just the right accessories — black Jimmy Choo sandal heels and lots of exquisite diamond Chopard jewelry.

Katie Holmes  katie-holmes-290

Lookin’ chic & fashionista-esque while attending a screening of Miss Meadows in N.Y.C. This is a more laid back event look, but it’s perfection to me. I love this LWD, coordinating well with this black leather moto jacket.

keri-russell-290  Keri Russell

Keri is pulling off another more laid back red carpet look, but she nonetheless looks smokin’! While attending the Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards she rocked a mainly black leather J. Mendel jumpsuit, paired perfectly with black Gianvito Rossi heels and Jacob & Co. jewelry.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese went with a great pop of bold color at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’ Governors Awards. Her bright pink Ralph Lauren collection dress was gorgeous. And I love the sheer textured neckline. The nude sandal Manolo Blahnik heels were a great finishing touch, as were her diamond Harry Winston jewelry pieces.

Every detail of a best dressed look deserves recognition, the make-up to the hair to the overall styling! Lauren Andersen truly complimented Reese’s overall look here, especially with a spot-on perfectly pink lip! Her locks were severely straight & amazingly styled that way by Adir Abergel. And of course I can’t leave off the list Reese’s talented stylist, who put this whole look together, Leslie Fremar.

Julianne Moore  julianne-moore-290

And finally, take a look at another excellent looking attendee for the London premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Julianne looked awesome in her fitted black Balenciaga dress and black Balenciaga sandal heels. This dress has so many eye-catching details, sheer side ruching and a textured caged neckline. And to top off her sophisticated and polished look were some diamond and silver Jessica McCormack jewelry pieces.

More NYFW Journeys — Runways to Retreats

During NYFW you are bound to end up at a wide variety of locales — showcases, private runways, MBFW @ Lincoln Center, store openings, and even fun blogger parties aka Retreats! So first up, let’s take a look at some rockin’ womens’ apparel.

Emily Saunders created a rock ‘n roll Garden of Eden for her spring/summer 2015 collection. And the collection/presentation had it all, including bringing on board for a performance, Singer/Songwriter, Kiki Rowe.

Inspired by the song “Inna Gadda Davida” and the heavy metal sounds of the late 60s, her presentation was a blend of bright hues, playful prints, and modern silhouettes. A variety of styles was surely encompassed — crop top combos, long dresses, peplum, shorts, & more.

This is my fave look, classic white, perfect length for a dressy cocktail or formal event, bold plunging neckline, all in all a confident look. I could definitely see this on a red carpet!

Not only did Saunder present some amazing looks, but some just as amazing accessories — handbags and clutches!

Accessories continue on with some stunning jewelry pieces.

And finally, no better way to complete a look than perfect styling, down to the hair, make-up, and nails. (nails & make-up by butter London)

Next up, Haspel, popular menswear brand know for seersucker suits.

Haspel revisits the sophisticated classic suit, style, and look for spring 2015. Holding it up as the perfect summer uniform, the seersucker suit is delivered in a wide spectrum of colors that include green, tan, red and optic white.

Breaking up the staple is military-inspired outerwear, lightweight windbreakers, naval deck knits and jacquard woven shirting.

From the runway to store openings, it’s NYFW so truly you get to see it all. Boris Bidjan Saberi had their Flagship Store Opening Party.

The shop will be at 494 Greenwich St., NY. The brand has grown into a luxury menswear label, reflecting Saberi’s personal and experimental take on handcrafted clothing. Quoting street and skate culture as one of its main influences, the brand has now begun to pay more attention to functional qualities, whilst maintaining a strong connection to urban roots.

Saberi’s compositional mood includes layering of fabrics and edgy cuts expressed through a monochromatic color palette. The main focus of Saberi’s aesthetics is always the human body — seemingly like an armor. Recreated, remolded, and rearranged in a de-structured style, in Saberi’s perspective the human silhouette blends floating shapes with rigid geometries. Nonetheless, organic materials such as felt and cotton coexist in the skillful administration of inorganic elements like vinyl and tar.

And finally, fun blogger parties, retreats, courtesy of Nylon Magazine & Gansevoort Meatpacking Rooftop lounge — Hi-speed Blogger Retreat, Get Re-charged! DJs on board —

Nolcha Fashion Week Updates & Closer Looks – It’s Raining Men….swear

NFW will be here sooner than you think!! My COUNTDOWN has begun! Each week until this amazing showcase of talented designers ensues, Fashion Nexus will be here to provide updates and closer looks at the various designers presenting. Check out my various intro pieces thus far and get to know Monstruosite better!

But for this post, I’m so eager & excited to take a closer look at 4 phenomenal menswear brands presenting this year — Alberto Pants, Carl Gross, Codice, & Haupt. I’m sure more of you are just as excited! But first, there is one more designer to add to the overall line-up and here is that designer’s intro –

Oiselle is another designer brand who has shown with Nolcha before, showcasing looks not often seen on the runway, but which still deserve a spotlight! Oiselle is a feminine fierce athletic apparel brand for women who love to run and race.

Now onto some menswear, where the male models I’m sure will be the cherry on my sundae, the butter for my popcorn, :)!!! First up Haupt!

Haupt’s brand is very gracious for the opportunity to showcase their woven menswear shirts. And I have no doubt each piece will be top-notch since this a shirt-only company! The brand is based in Lippstadt, Germany and was established back in 1926 — that’s 88 years in the menswear business! It’s a small family-owned business, but with that, sole focus has been on the designs, the shirts — attention to each and every detail!

Haupt seeks to create beautiful and high quality shirts that are a marriage of both European and American styles. The pieces are not over-the-top or over-designed, but rather are practical and wearable. But even being a smaller, family-owned business, that doesn’t mean the brand doesn’t have some major clientele. Haupt is worn by many NFL players in fact!

Today, the company is run by the founder’s grandson, Georg Haupt. The design team consists of Birgit Glaser, who is known for having a great eye for color. And also, there is Bernd Schaefer, who has fit & modeling down. There is no surprise that the brand has such a balanced design thanks to this male/female dynamic duo. I can’t wait to see some amazing and well-crafted menswear pieces from the brand’s runway presentation!

Next up is Codice!

Pictured above is the talent behind this dynamic menswear brand, Giorgio Filippi. Codice is based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, but Giorgio is ready to showcase his work at none other than Nolcha Fashion week during NYFW! The brand is all about being contemporary, having a modern fit, and of course, being wearable. But Codice still keeps “Fashion” in mind, maintaining impeccable design!

So in thinking of the signature style of CODICE, know it’s the embodiment of a polished, sophisticated ease. The brand truly hallmarks that of Italian style in a clean, spare, yet never overly basic collection of knit tops, t-shirts, polos & fine gauge sweaters. Each design is very unique, with noticeable details, for which Codice pays a great deal of attention to.

Codice is presenting its Spring 2015 collection, which is inspired by all things vintage, but with a modern design aesthetic. I’m ready to see these polished and stylish menswear looks!

Now let’s take a look at Carl Gross!

Carl Gross is another German-based menswear brand, Hersbruck, Germany to be specific. The brand pushes for and seeks to find relaxed elegance. Each piece is all about fashion, comfort, and quality. Showing in NYC, at Nolcha Fashion Week, will mark the first US entry for the brand!

The brand is a specialist when it comes to jackets & suits. I can’t wait to see their latest collection, maybe even with looks for kids!!

And finally, we have Alberto Pants!

It must be that Germany is the country to go to for menswear. Of these 4 menswear brands, 3 of the 4 are based in Germany. And with Alberto, it’s specifically Monchengladbach, Germany. And just as with the other brands, Alberto has also been in the menswear business for quite some time, 1922, and is also a family-run company. The brand is legendary for its amazing fit!

In seeking to create this perfect fit, Alberto has a streamlined process of using high quality, exciting fabrics, attractive buttons, harmonious yarn colors, beautifully produced lining and great craftsmanship. And details are of the utmost importance when it comes to crafting the pants, yarn to fabric, wash to hardware. With inspiration for this upcoming collection the brand is happy to never have a lack of being inspired. The endless supply comes from traveling, walking the streets of various places.

The brand offers 4 categories from which their male clients can choose from — chino, slim, premium business jeans, and smart dressy. There is also an entire collection dedicated solely to golfwear. Alberto has also experienced quite a bit of featured press from major publications — Myself magazine, GQ, TM, InStyle, & more!

The Countdown Begins……Nolcha Fashion Week — Sept. 2014

Yes, that’s right, let the countdown begin — in less than 3 months, Nolcha Fashion Week will be back, Sept. 2014, at Chelsea Piers in NYC! This week I announced a huge sweepstakes that Biovea is taking part in. But NFW is very much a part of this collaborative sweepstakes, as you could win 2 VIP passes to the many fashion runway presentations being put on by NFW. The event is clearly a “can’t miss!!”

Nolcha Fashion Week is a leading, awarding winning event, held during NYFW. It’s a time for independent designers to showcase their amazing creations and collections. And trust me, there are always great looks that come down the runway. I have definitely found some faves from attending and covering for Fashion Nexus in the past couple of years — Dany Tabet, Leka, Claire Farwell London, Intrepid by Ao’c, KARO swimwear, Danilo Gabrielli, and more!

So get to know NFW, check out my own fun times, showcasing looks in My Fashion Diary & Fashion Week looks, also some great snaps of myself with celebs I met at the runway presentations.
