My Fashion Diary

These are images I can best describe as personal faves of my own wardrobe and accessories — also, a bit of me on the scene. Check out what I wear on the red carpet or at fashion shows. You can also see how versatile many of my fave pieces are since I wear them for different occasions and in different ways.

As far as my personal taste, I best describe that as a classic style with modern or contemporary twists. Lately though, I have been adding a little sauciness to the mix! If I could own any person’s wardrobe it would actually be a fictitious person, Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. My apparel might be a bit conservative, but I try to pair that with bolder choices with that of accessories — tights, jewelry, handbags, etc.

Had to detail this accessories look from my work on an upcoming TV show for Showtime — “The Affair.” I had such fun making this dress pop with my own accessories — Joyce Pilarsky jewelry (bracelet & necklace), nOir jewelry (ring) and the perfect little black clutch by Zara. Nails — Sparitual polish in “Pebble Creme.”

There is so much to talk about here with this look (a full piece is coming soon….)! I recently attended, March 2014, my law school formal, the New York Law School masquerade ball, aka law school prom! The event was amazing! It was held at the Battery Park Gardens. But now to the important part, my look, the dress!!

This stunning dress, with a slight slit & creative floral design & embellishment, is by the talented Joyce Pilarsky. My blush pink heels are from Lauren Conrad’s exclusive collection at Kohls. It was still a bit nippy out, so my dark nude tights are xhilaration at Target.

No look is complete without accessories. Joyce also made an intricately gorgeous bracelet, which I paired with my look. My mint green clutch is from Francesca’s. My diamond silver bow ring is from American Eagle. Not accessories-related, but my nail color is alternating between Finger Paints color from Sally Beauty Supply, in gold, & butter LONDON in nude or yummy mummy!

My amazingly stunning hair was created by hairstylist extraordinaire Rosalinda Biddle. And finally, a small detail, but much needed touch, are my lovely earrings, which are from nOir Jewelry.

This is a fringed deep V-neck off-white dress from H&M. Each time I paired it with my classic black patent pumps, bought at DSW and by Jessica Simpson. The 1st pic is from by 1st birthday in NYC, Sept. 2011 (went to Tenjune in Meatpacking!)! The 2nd is from Fall 2013 NYFW/MBFW at Lincoln Center. Also seen in the 2nd pic, my black rose flower ring from Forever 21!

Turquoise Earrings — Marysol

This is a turquoise sparkling mini that I surprisingly found at Forever 21. I appreciate there is actual quality and it has a good fit. Each time I’ve paired it with my ever-reliable classic black patent pumps, Jessica Simpson from DSW. In my 1st pic, I chose to wear this as my official bday dress for my 2nd year in NYC, Sept. 2012 (Southern Hospitality dinner, NYC, Tenjune in Meatpacking for dancing afterwards). In the 2nd/3rd pic, I wore this dazzling mini during Fashion Week Brooklyn, Fall 2013. I also paired it with a black clutch from Zara.

This is a clear winner for a backside fave dress of mine, from Lauren Conrad’s exclusive collection at Kohls. The lace detail with a back cutout just grabs my attention. I also love the popping royal blue color. In the first pic, I paired the dress with my nude open-toed booties by Chinese Laundry. I was at a private fashion show for Ricardo Seco, Fall 2013. In the 2nd and 3rd pics, I was at Spring 2013 NYFW/MBFW at Lincoln Center. For this event, I paired the dress with my rose pink heels, also from Lauren Conrad’s Kohl’s collection.

This black and white diagonally striped leather mini is by Alice + Olivia. I lucked out on this steal from an A+O sample sale, original price $1000, I paid $130. Key point — Sample Sales pay off! I’m also wearing a bright purple pair of tights from another sample sale find, Legwear Loft. My accessories, a turquoise ring and black studded clutch, are both from Ted Rossi. This look was worn at a private fashion show event, Winter 2013, at Dream Downtown Hotel’s Ph-D Lounge for Karo Swimwear and Burkhalter Couture.

I had to show the front & back of this look — a black shirt, with back cutouts, from Mandee; a sparkling metallic gold skirt from Lauren Conrad’s Kohl’s collection; a green bracelet from Noir Jewelry; a green envelope clutch from Zara; & black booties from Forever 21. I wore this during Fashion Week Brooklyn, Fall 2013.

This is a fun black and white peplum dress, Grass collection, that I got at Belks, for a whopping $4! I’ve had this one for years and I still love to wear it now. In the first pic, I wore this to a private fashion show for Leanne Marshall, 2012. I love the turquoise flower ring, from Francesca’s, as a fun pop of color for the look. In the 2nd pic, I wore the dress to Nolcha Fashion Week, Fall 2013. I paired it with my black booties from Forever 21.

I love the backs of my dresses just as much as the front-side and in this case, probably more! This is a fitting LBD from Lauren Conrad’s exclusive collection with Kohls. I just love this bow and lace back detail! I wore it during Spring 2013 NYFW/MBFW at Lincoln Center.

On the same day, for the 2nd pic, I am having fun at the Yumi Kim sample sale.

In the 2nd pic, also w/ GinaMarie Zimmerman, Fall 2014, I was at a Dramatizon Make-up Fashion Show — Snow Queen & Jack Frost — at Sky Room NYC, show team also Fallon Fitzpatrick Hair & Gigi Carnett lingerie. My look here is paired with grey tights from Legwear Loft & my rose pink heels from Lauren Conrad’s exclusive collection with Kohls.

I am attending a press preview day, my 1st, Fall 2013, for Agentry PR & more specifically, here, I am posing with Christian Siriano’s Spring 2014 collection.

This is a black & white geometric print dress by Kim Rogers, purchased from Belks. I’ve paired it with my classic black pumps by Jessica Simpson, from DSW. I accessorized the look with a mint green clutch from Francesca’s and a turquoise green bangle by Ted Rossi. I wore this look during Fashion Week Brooklyn, Fall 2013.

Here, I am attending a Glamour Magazine event, at Bebe/Columbus Circle, Winter 2013. I am wearing a black bodycon dress from Forever 21. I’ve paired it with my black & gold polka dot Jessica Simpson heels from DSW. My black & white crossbody purse, necklace, and bracelet are from Ted Rossi.

Here, I am wearing a royal blue bodycon dress. In the 1st pic, I’ve paired it with black and grey polka dot tights and a taupe pair of booties, all from Forever 21. This was taken actually before I moved to NYC. I am attending a NYE function and I think it was 2010. In the second pic, I am wearing my black Abella flats from DSW and a blush pink clutch w/ bow by Vieta. I was attending the Marilyn Monroe line launch from Kenley Collins, Fall 2013, at Slapback in Brooklyn, NYC.
