2019 & 2020 were whirlwinds of years for me personally. But I still took note of fashion moments I loved on various red carpets throughout 2019. It might take a few posts, but I am now set to share some of my faves, and then get onto 2020 looks and into 2021!

2014 Cannes Film Festival — Top Looks

The Cannes Film Festival has been in full force for days now. Check out my picks for the best looks, enjoy!

BLAKE LIVELY

Blake is making yet another appearance on one of my best dressed lists! At the Cannes, for the premier of Mr. Turner, he looked literally iridescent in this lace iridescent Chanel Couture creation. And in true matching accessory fashion, she is wearing shimmering white heels by Sophia Webster.

Great angle for a shot of the stunning pieces of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry Blake is donning, such as these flower-shaped earrings!

CATE BLANCHETT

Cate makes an odd combination of angelic and Greek goddess work and she does so in this gray Valentino gown with silver embroidery, feathered collar, and capped sleeves. I’m assuming her few pieces of jewelry are by Chopard as she was attending and presenting at the Chopard Trophy event.

Cate is making high fashion marks all over the place while attending the Cannes festival so I had to showcase another look of hers for my best dressed list. While attending the Vanity Fair & Armani party she again looked quite angelic and sweet in this golden Giorgio Armani Prive dress with lace and embroidery details.

PAZ VEGA

Ankle-cut dresses seem to be quite the tend on the Cannes red carpet and Paz’s embellished look certainly doesn’t disappoint. She looks slim, trim, & fit in this Elie Saab (part of the Spring 2014 collection) midi dress with beading and floral detailing at the bodice. She accessorized her look with Chopard diamonds and nude Christian Louboutin pumps.

Paz, like Cate, is quite deserving of a 2nd nod on my best dressed list. While at the Cannes Festival, stars are able to mix it up fashion-wise; they can go chic and minimal for their day looks, and then drastically switch it up for the night’s red carpet by going full on glam. Paz has done just that and so for her day look she rocks a simplistically minimalistic navy Zuhair Murad dress with lace detailing cut-outs down the side. For this look, she accessorized this time with magenta Christian Louboutins and fine Chanel jewelry.

JANE FONDA

Fierce and on fire with a bold red ensemble is Jane, wearing a beaded Elie Saab look with a cinched waist, sheer sleeves, and decolletage. And her bold red choices continue with her accessories — rubellite drop earrings from Chopard’s Temptations Collection, red Jimmy Choo shoes, and a red & black Gucci clutch.

KENDALL JENNER

Kendall looks sleek, sophisticated, and seriously stylish in this black and white Chanel piece, which also boasts the ever-popular ankle-cut trend for the Cannes red carpet, but also 4 straps, and a printed raw-edged bodice. She paired with her look black Stuart Weitzman heels and a great deal of diamond Chopard jewelry — earrings, rings, and a cuff.

EVA LONGORIA — Eva is another lovely lady gracing my best dressed list twice for the Cannes Festival. For her 1st look, she is wearing an elegant fitted white Gabriela Cadena gown, with a train.

Just for a closer look, take a glance at Eva’s exquisite choices for jewelry all from Damiani.

For Eva’s 2nd look, she went very lingerie-esque with a pale peach custom gown, again from Gabriela Cadena. This time though, she donned earrings from Martin Katz.

HONORABLE MENTION — ELIZABETH OLSEN

This is not the Cannes or the Billboards, but Elizabeth just looked too amazing in this crystal-embellished cascading blue gown by Elie Saab and from the designer’s Fall 2013 collection. Coordinated quite well with her look are Christian Louboutin navy sandal heels and diamond Piaget drop earrings.

Best Dressed from the 2014 Grammy’s!

Red carpet season continues and up now, the 2014 Grammy Awards. The night is typically filled with daring looks, ones of a unique spirit, and really just a mix of so much — it can be sexy, fun, flirty, the sky is the limit! Here are my fave looks of the evening, ENJOY!

KATY PERRY

The Grammy’s seem like the perfect time for a different mix of gowns — risky, unique, etc. So for me, for this year, Katy gets props for this literal musical # she selected for a gown — a cream-colored, silk tulle gown from Valentino’s Spring 2014 Couture Collection. She paired with this look some great burgundy jewelry pieces by Ivy – spinel & diamong earrings and rings. You will also notice a wonderful nail gloss as well; you have to think of everything, right! And so Katy is wearing CoverGirl Outlast Nail Gloss in Everbloom, in a bubblegum pink hue.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylor has a very well put together look — a form-fitting, short-sleeved, gold lamé gown by Gucci Premiere, which is comprised of a crystal mesh overlay & gemstone detailing at the neckline, arms, & waist. I mean there is very little to dislike about a gown with such clean lines, except I think I read Tay said it was a bit scratchy! She completed her chic look with complimentary jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz — diamond drop earrings & a diamond ring & Jimmy Choo heels.

BTW, T. Swift also looks great in her performance look for “All Too Well”! She is wearing a nude sheer overlay Alberta Ferretti dress with a jeweled & sheer bodice. She completes her look with matching nude Arika Nerguiz heels and Cathy Waterman earrings.

NANCY O’DELL

I often do not know every designer detail when I do my best dressed lists and Nancy is the one for me this time. But really, it doesn’t matter. Regardless, this is a stunning and sexy mini and hey, at the Grammy’s, you are free to show the stems! This is such a fun look with the printed sequins and complete with shimmery pointed-toe pumps. Job well done!

BONNIE MCKEE

Ahhhh!! I love Bonnie McKee and I had no clue she co-penned “Roar”. So on top of a great song, she then pulls of a great look for the Grammy’s and I love it!! She looks glamfab in this sapphire blue gown by Memeka by Gustavo Cadile, which comes complete with a full train. So happy for this gal; she deserves it!

MIRANDA LAMBERT

Miranda looks glamorous and effortlessly chic in this popping red, plunging neckline gown by Pamella Roland. The delicate satin twist at the waist is a perfect touch! She keeps in the “red” family by using a burgundy Judith Leiber clutch. But for the jewelry she mixes it up — silver bracelets & dramatic earrings by Kimberly McDonald for Forevermark.

ALICIA KEYS: Cobalt or royal blue gowns always grab my attention as it’s my fave color! Alicia doesn’t disappoint in her selection of this custom-designed, silk jersey gown, with a plunging neckline by Armani Prive. It features a black beaded Swarovski bow detail. She doesn’t go overboard with her accessories for this look either as she is wearing a stunning pair of Stephen Webster “Deco haze” green agate earrings with black and white pave diamonds.

ANNA KENDRICK

Anna strikes the perfect balance of sexy and not going over-the-top in this blush pink Azzaro gown, which combines details of a crystal detailed bodice, impressive thigh-high slit, & caged bustier. She is perfectly accessorized with a Joan Hornig alligator cuff, Chimento diamond earrings, and metallic silver Barbara Bui pumps.

CIARA

Ciara found the perfect way to dress fabulously while also in maternity style. She is wearing a skintight sparkly Emilio Pucci gilded rose-gold custom gown. Gown details include a laced-up neckline & an intricate tangle of sequined filigrees.

NATASHA BEDINGFIELD: Natasha is wearing a tangerine colored gown with a loose blouse that is by Christian Siriano. This is a very minimalist look in a jersey drape, but very modern as well. She does a a great mix with metallics and gold accessories by using this shimmery Emm Kuo clutch and Samantha Wills jewelry.

HUNTER HAYES

I have to include at least one dapper guy on my list, right! And tonight, that one such guy is Hunter Hayes. He looks very handsome in this Tom Ford suit, sans tie, love it!
