image001PONO by Joan Goodman is a designer jewelry brand I have certainly fallen in love with. I wrote a piece awhile back on the brand and I enjoyed learning about the brand, the designer and of course, the amazing jewelry pieces! It’s been great to keep in touch and so I’m happy to announce their annual holiday Sample Sale, which starts now, December 2nd.

It’s a pretty lengthy sale duration period so make sure if you are in NYC to get out to this sample sale! You have from December 2nd until December 13th. The location is 347 W 36th Street, Ste. 405. As you can see from the flyer above, everything is going to have some major discounts attached, 50-80% off. One of the great things on top of great deals is that the designer, Joan Goodman, will also be around. I find that is very touching and I know as a shopper, I would love to meet the talent behind a designer fashion brand so I hope any customers enjoy that experience! Joan is an obviously talented designer, but also a very kind and welcoming individual. She will be sure to make your shopping experience a great one!

P1193                                        P1202There is going to be a great selection. Check Out M.M. Lafleur’s NYC Pop-up While You Can!

100_5577                                           100_5597

I was first introduced to M.M. Lafleur earlier this year at Baublebar’s pop-up during a collaboration event. M.M. Lafleur is both a luxury fashion brand, but also, very much a high fashion label. You can always shop online, but until Nov. 3rd, you can also check out their pop-up in Soho, 91 Grand Street. Look below for their remaining upcoming events!

100_5560       100_5570       100_5571

There is a wide variety both at the popup and online, lots of cuts, fits, silhouettes, and colors. You can check out the full selection here and see just how amazing the styles are, from the Mae to Michaella to Yoko to Sophia. Also available at the popup are great selections of belts, blazers, cardigans, and scarves. With M.M. Lafleur you are getting amazing quality, but at a more affordable price, as compared to the high-end luxury designers.

100_5562                                                   100_5564

The design team is packed full of experience. You have a former head designer for Zac Posen, who also worked with major brands such as Jason Wu and Theory. The fabric is nothing but the best as it’s shipped from top mills in both Italy & Japan. The belts are high quality leather. M.M. Lafleur’s ethos, as they say, is simple: to make the purposeful woman look and feel beautiful. Learn more about the brand here!

100_5565                                   100_5578

There is a lot rave about with this brand. There is so much versatility. The colors are very much on trend for the upcoming fall season, with options of lilac grey, peacock blue, oatmeal, aubergine, mayan red, charcoal, black, cinnamon and more. But what is great is that the colors are not just geared for the upcoming seasons, it will also work throughout the year. You can wear with or without tights/hosiery, dress up in heels or down with flats, and you could even pair with a light jacket or sweater if need be.

100_5582                                                     100_5593

There are a few specific upcoming events for the pop-up’s final days:

  • Friday, Nov. 1st, 6-8 pm: Shopping Event for Women in Law
  • Sat., Nov. 2nd, 1-3 pm: Keep Calm & Carry on with Hitha on the Go
  • Sun., Nov. 3rd, 2-4 pm: Building your Personal Brand

100_5594                                  100_5577

So while it’s sad the pop-up vanishes after Nov. 3rd, it doesn’t mean there are not amazing opportunities to shop online. This team knows a woman doesn’t just try on one dress and tada!, that it’s the winner. When you shop online, you can select up to 4 dresses to have shipped. You then have 7 days to make your decision. Shipping is on Lafleur, both ways, how awesome is that?!? You only pay for what you keep! M.M. Lafleur is working diligently to find tailors to partner with across the nation. For now, in NYC, there is Beyond Bespoke. So if you need to make any tweaks, you can receive a discount from their tailor partners.

Fashion Faves & Finds: More Awards & The Perfect Nude Pump

This week for Fashion Faves & Finds, I am going to highlight the best looks, or my fave looks, on the red carpet for 2 different award ceremonies: 2013 Tony Awards and 2013 Spike Guys’ Choice Awards. My fashion find of the week will be devoted to finding the perfect nude pump so we will visit online to my shoe heaven with DSW.

Fave/Top Looks for the 2013 Tony Awards

jane  Jane Krakowski wearing Escada; Photo Credit to US Magazine.

Jane looked like a silvery, shimmery goddess in this Escada gown. The deep-V neck is at the perfect stopping point, not too plunging! The accessories were all on point as well from the silver/metal belt by Maison Martin Margiela, the elegant jewelry, also matching in silver, by David Webb and finally the silver clutch by Jimmy Choo. There is a lot of silver here, but its not too matchy-matchy.

scarjo  Scarlett Johansson wearing Saint Laurent; Photo Credit to US Magazine

Scarlett looked very chic in her black, laced-neckline, minidress, which she perfectly paired with a simple black blazer and black pumps. This is a great look for her and would make for a great go-to of an LBD. The neckline is also amazing in the always trendy lace effect.

MM  Matthew Morrison wearing Brooks Brothers; Photo Credit to Just Jared.

Matthew is quite dashing in a classic black suit, but of course it has a great twist. The matching black and grey striped cummerbund and bowtie creates an overall dapper look.

Fave Looks for the 2013 Spike Guys’ Choice Awards

olivia Olivia Wilde wearing Michael Kors; photo credit to Fashion Bomb Daily.

One can never have too many LBD’s as I’m sure Olivia knows. This black leather and peplum dress was a great choice for the Spike Awards. It combines the perfect amounts of femininity and sexiness. Olivia looks great and I’m sure the male fans at the awards agreed!

Fashion Finds-Looking for the Perfect Nude Pump

I am actually still looking for the perfect nude pump to add to my shoe collection. I have a lighter nude color right now that is by Jessica Simpson. However, I really want to find a great pair, of the same quality and comfort, but that is a darker shade of nude. Actually, one might say its more taupe than nude, but its all in that color family.

Here are some great finds from DSW, which of course also means great prices!

Fashion Faves of the Week: CMT Awards & NYC Street Chic

Generally each week I will find a male and female celebrity outfit that I deem as my favorite of the week. This week there was one extra award ceremony, on top of the CFDA Awards (click here to read my post on that). The CMT Awards were held this evening so I wanted to share my favorite red carpet looks of the night-top 3 female and favorite male outfit as well. It was hard to pick just 3 as there were a lot of amazing looks, but here are my faves!

JK Jana Kramer wearing PAVONI by Mikael D.-photo credit: Getty Images

I absolutely adore Jana, from her days on One Tree Hill to now being a sensational country artist. I also absolutely adore this long sheer nude and black laced gown. The lace applique effect is such a hot trend right now and has been for quite some time as this is actually from a 2011 collection. There is also a bit of fringe at the bottom, which I think is just the perfect amount to not distract from the other elements of this dress.

CU Carrie Underwood wearing Georges Chakra; Photo Credit: Getty Images

I applaud Carrie for wearing something different and really showing that she can rock any look. I think shorts are very interesting to wear on the red carpet, but this type of event, it really works. Plus, she has great legs so why not show them off! I love the color here in a mint green and I think its always great to show some color. I really like the sheer geometric neckline,

asr AnnaSophia Robb, also wearing George Chakra; Photo Credit: Getty Images

I’m not quite sure why AnnaSophia was at the CMT awards, but nonetheless, she was a breath of fresh air. She also rocked the lace trend in this blush mini with a haltered neckline. All of her accessories and style choices were right on point. She toted a great little black clutch and wore a sparkly pair of open-toed heels. Also choosing to wear her hair in a bun updo was perfection to make this overall elegant and classy look really work.

bP The Band Perry; Photo Credit: Getty Images.

I have to choose the best dressed guys to so this is really all about Neil & Reid. However, you can’t say that Kimberly doesn’t look great as well as she is wearing an long orange gown with pink-laced cut-outs on the side by Oday Shakar. The guys also looked great in their suits with great choices of the navy blue and shimmery grey dress coats.

The next segment here is on a male and female outfits I find right here in NYC, on the streets. There is no celebrity status. These are just your regular, average, everyday people who really know how to select amazing pieces to create their ensemble.

100_4711

I didn’t catch this gal’s name as she was strolling through Tribeca. I immediately was captivated by this amazing belt, which really tied this whole outfit together. This was a great spring out fit from the silk white capped sleeve blouse and navy blue skirt. The open toed black slingback heels also were great and probably great to walk the streets of NYC.

100_4713

Meet Rodrigo! I think he looks great with his khaki pants, white undershirt and tan vest. He looks great from head to toe. Some of his outfit came from Ralph Lauren.

Fashion Finds of the Week: Let’s Look at the Maxi

Its springtime now, but summer is fast approaching. I know if I decide to add anything to my spring/summer wardrobe it will be a new maxi dress. I own a few right now, all solid colors, so I would really be interested in a print of some sort. I wanted to focus this week’s Fashion Find section on shopping around for maxi dresses and what sorts of options are available. So take a look with me on some great places to look, some great styles and all at great prices.

Kohls always has a great selection to choose from. Click here to see all of the options. Below are just a few of my faves:

1       2     3    4

There are a lot of great options for spring trends, from florals to solid colors to other bold print. There are some that are a bit more on the casual side to others that are a bit dressier. A great range of price options are also available, but mostly under $100.
