The trends of award season continue on with the Grammys, black/sheer combos, white with hints of silver, and jumpsuits. But the big trend to me of the evening, super sexiness from the ladies! These luscious ladies on the Grammys red carpet were vivaciously all about the Va-va-voom — cutouts, sheer effects, plunging necklines, and high slits! So of course my best dressed list includes some sexy numbers, but I managed to sneak in a few traditional picks as well. Enjoy!
Iggy looked magnificent in my fave red carpet color, cobalt blue. The details of this custom-made Giorgio Armani silk crepe dress were extremely eye-catching, sheer paneling at the bottom, as well as side and shoulder cutouts.
Jessie J looked so gorgeous in this sheer Ralph & Russo black dress. It was full-on glam and I love it!
Jumpsuits are all over the 2015 Award Season. There is just something so striking about this black Inbal Dror jumpsuit with a sheer cutout bodice. It shimmers & sparkles all over!
Shout-outs to her glam squad — stylist, Monica Rose style; chic hair styling by Melissa Brown; beautiful make-up look (shimmering smoky eye, bold red lip), Catalina Linasu.
Jennifer went the simplistically minimal route in this understated LWD by Tom Ford. Her entire accessories, head to toe, were spot-on — metallic Jimmy Choo clutch, Dsquared2 mixed metallic stilettos, diamond Marli choker, Jorge Adeler ring, as well as jewelry pieces from Casa Real and Jack Vartanian.
Love this purple pout — then you should check out MAC Cosmetics, their lip shade, Heroine.
Chrissy did cutouts right, and all over, up & down as well! This white Emilio Pucci dress with loosely stitched cutouts was super sexy, amazing!
She paired with her look some exquisite accessories — Norman Silverman Diamonds earrings, bracelets, and rings, as well as black Jimmy Choo sandals.
Celeb makeup artist Mary Phillips used Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Illuminating Argan Oil as a primer. “It quickly absorbed while leaving a glamorous effect on the skin,” she told Us. Phillips then layered on Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #7. “It has a super dewy, natural appearance,” she said.
I love, love, love this nude Alberta Ferretti dress. It is definitely one of my faves of the evening. It is so ethereal and I am even more in love with this stunning bodice. She has coordinated well with her look some lovely diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Ofira rings.
Tracey looked ravishing in this sheer black gown with a lace bodice. Not sure of the designer here, but it’s quite beautiful!
Katharine McPhee was workin’ it in this coral Emilio Pucci column dress. I mean if you got it, flaunt it! She also rocked some diamond danglers from Vhernier.
For her Grammys red carpet debut, Avon Global Celeb Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen played up the Scorpion star’s warm-toned complexion (and pastel Emilio Pucci gown) with the peachy golden tones from the Avon Eye Dimensions Eye Shadow in Khaki Chic. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eey Pencil in Scortch and Avon SuperExtend Winged Out Mascara in Blackest Black added even more dimension.
Lena looked out of this world, so glamorous in this dark grey fitted Zac Posen gown. She looked great and is making a major footprint on the red carpet scene. Paired with her look, diamond David Yurman jewelry.
Caitlin Rogers
This gown on Caitlin, artistic, mesmerizing, so intriguing!
Full on glitz & glam, the disco ball look has been a major red carpet trend of the 2015 Award Season, and Brandy is rockin’ right with the best of the best. She looks gorgeous!
Paris has never looked better. She has dubbed herself the #sparklingdiamondbarbie in this shimmery Yousef-Al-Jasmi dress. And really, you can’t deny it!
Paris really does look great tonight, especially her smashing makeup & hair look, luscious waves, bold smoky eye, and slightly pink lip, all by Etienne Ortega.
Anna went pretty basic, but it’s still a sexy basic, in a classic black Band of Outsiders tuxedo suit. In keeping with an understated theme, she is rockin’ some great accessories, Selin Kent ring, Venyx World ring, black Jimmy Choo “Darilyn” heels, and Uma K rings too.
To give Kendrick “that sexy Parisian women’s hair,” stylist Craig Gangi curled her hair in 1-1/2-inch sections, then combed through them with his fingers. For even more volume and dry texture, he spritzed Unite Texturiza before finishing with Unite Session Max Spray.
Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali made Anna’s eyes stand-out by using BECCA’s Automatic Eve Pencil in Majorca ($23) and Ultimate Crème Eyeliner in Romanticism ($20) to the top lashes and inside the waterline. She also paired with her look, Jacquie Aiche earrings.
Gwen went architectural with this semi-sheer-bodice black jumpsuit by Atelier Versace. At first glance I wasn’t so sure, but it really is a look I couldn’t take my eyes off of. And pairing perfectly with this all black ensemble, black bedazzled Louboutin pumps.
And hey, what about these mesmerizing Lorraine Schwartz jewelry pieces — diamonds are a girl’s best friend!
I’m not sure I would give anyone else a Best Dressed nod with this emerald green Balmain jumpsuit with a wide belt and fully fringed necklace. But come on, Jane Fonda! You can’t deny how great she looks and she is rockin’ this look!
She is accessorizing with metallic Jimmy Choo heels, gold Paula Cadematori clutch, and diamond Vhernier jewelry.
I have a lot of super sexy and serious looks on my list, so I’m happy to include one that is a little more fun, one that I can’t help but smile at. Antonique looks super girly and flirt in this floral 2-piece Cache number! Her make-up look is matched perfectly, bold red lip, courtesy of Sean Harris.
The Band Perry, as always, lookin’ great as a group! Kimberly is wearing a daring Steven Khalil gown with a fully embellished bodice.
Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman
My only best dressed duo, and my, how amazing these 2 lovebirds look! Keith looks rocker chic in Lanvin. While Nicole looks fashionably chic in this grommet-studded Thierry Mugler LBD and black Prabal Gurung heels. She is also donning some lovely Cindy Turner diamond earrings.
Never had so many handsome guys to include on my list, but these Grammy guys looked great, including Common, in all black, Givenchy.
John is lookin’ quite dapper in Dolce & Gabbana, all great, all in grey!
Big Sean looked well put together in this all black Saint Laurent suit, complete with a bow tie!
Man candy! Nice! Love Usher in this modern gray Calvin Klein suit, very handsome!
