Best Dressed 2019 — the Oscars of Fashion aka The Met Ball & Some Oscars Looks

A look back at my favorite looks from the 2019 Oscars, some of the afterparties, and the Met Gala. Looking at the Met Ball, the 2019 Met Gala theme was inspired by Susan Sontag’s legendary 1964 essay, “Notes on Camp,” in which she describes camp as the “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration…style at the expense of content.”

Met Gala 2017 — Best of the Best

Each year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art puts on an annual Costume Institute exhibit and this year’s exhibit focuses on designer Rei Kawakubo, Comme des Garçons, and “the art of the in-between.” It pays tribute to Rei Kawakubo, the legendary designer behind Commes Des Garçons. Kawakubo is known for her risk-taking, out-of-the-box aesthetic, and attendees channeled that with a stream of crazed beauty looks and extreme gowns/dresses. Here are my top pics!
