Sydney Evan-A Jewelry Brand Designed From Inspirations, Instincts & Meanings in Life

logoIn the world of fashion, and yes, even with jewelry, it is often trends and other designers’ works that guide what is being created. This is not the case for this immaculately designed jewelry brand, Sydney Evan. This is a jewelry brand that is not afraid to let inspirations, instincts and real meanings from life guide their design process. From this process, it actually sets trends, whereas letting an already set trend dictate their designs. This is all possible due to the amazingly talented, knowledgeable and experienced designer, Rosanne Karmes.

designerI had the distinct pleasure of meeting Rosanne at a Custom Diamond Charm Bar event she recently held at Bergdorf Goodman. I immediately knew I wanted to do a more in depth feature on her and Sydney Evan. From further speaking with her, I can see why she has the ability to create these remarkable pieces and achieve the success she has had. Sydney Evan is fast approaching its 12-year mark of being in the jewelry business. The name comes from two of the most important people in Rosanne’s life, her daughter Sydney and her son Evan. Rosanne and I spoke about having the opportunity to be re-acquainted with your past and the realization of just how much it can attribute to where you are at in life now. From this conversation, it is no surprise to see how someone who was making and selling jewelry in her early teens can be where she is at today. She has always worked in some realm of fashion, whether it was sales in fine jewelry companies or as a representative in independent sales. Attaining a vast amount of knowledge and gaining invaluable experience with jewelry and fashion are the reasons why Rosanne was able to conceive Sydney Evan and grow the brand to be as successful as it is today.

Rosanne has created several different collections over the years. I would say there is likely something for everyone depending on which collections would most speak to you as a customer. I would also say they are perfectly fitting as to how Rosanne describes her pieces as being classics. This is not to say they don’t make a statement or wouldn’t fit into a given season or trend, but rather that these are high quality pieces you can purchase that have the capability to be worn for many years to come. You can look through the 15 collections and shop by clicking here. I have gone thru and selected my favorite pieces within each collection, which was a very enjoyable experience!

Sydney Evan really does offer a wide variety when it comes to what you are purchasing and how. There are tons of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, beaded bracelets and rings to choose from and of course all within the 15 different collections presented. When purchasing earrings, you can even just buy for 1 ear instead of both! Necklace options offer choices for chain lengths as well. All pieces are also offered in 14K yellow, rose or white gold, or black rhodium with pave diamonds or precious stones. Sydney Evan can be purchased online or in various retailers across the U.S., or even international retailers.

I always enjoy looking at the various press for a given designer and Sydney Evan does have a fair share of celebs who also love this brand as much as I have come to! I see some personal favorites on the list-Lauren Conrad, Hilary Duff, Kate Hudson, Audrina Patridge, Lea Michele and more! Celebs aside, I also know that this is not why she creates her jewelry, as I personally saw how attentive she was when I attended a recent Custom Charm and Bead Bar event at Bergdorf Goodman. You can also enjoy that personal attention and even meet Rosanne by keeping up with the upcoming events she holds by looking at her Events page.

Sydney Evan really seeks to satisfy each and every customer. If you have any questions there are a myriad of ways to communicate, including on social media-Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. I hope you enjoy reading about Sydney Evan and looking at the astounding pieces as much as I did!

It’s Almost July 4th so Here is Some Red, White & Blue Fashion!!

July 4th is this week and I’m sure we all can’t wait to see what people are wearing as they are decked out in red, white and blue. For this weeks Featured Fashion post I decided to look at some places I frequently shop and see what is being offered that is July 4th-inspired or just in the colors listed above. There are certainly some great finds! At any given store, finding these colors or combos is hardly difficult. I picked a few places where I do shop and always find good deals so here goes!

My first online stop was Forever 21. I do like shopping there because there is always a lot to choose from and there is always a great price range. At each place I tried to find different types of clothing, so here is some of what Forever 21 is offering:

11 Navy blue and white polka dot romper-about $20

This is a great deal for something so casual, so cute and so perfect for July 4th. I’m not sure if the belt comes with in, but adding a dash of red with an accessory to complete this look shouldn’t be any issue if one wanted to add it! I don’t own any rompers, but would certainly shop around for one and this one would be great for July 4th or any time during the spring/summer.

12  White sweetheart eyelet romper-$25

You may not want a print, so a solid color can also work. Again, pairing dashes of red or blue to complete your July 4th look would be no problem here. Rompers are great for casual days, beach days, so these would definitely be great pieces to own.

13  Denim cutoffs with American Flag-25

Denim cutoff shorts, with the American flag right there, obviously great for the 4th, but also really works for anytime shorts can be worn. You could pair these with a wide variety of tops and accessories, very hip!

14 Denim cutoffs, high waisted-$23

Another great pair of an option for a pair of denim cutoffs, this style being high-waisted. There is the ripped effect with patchwork allowing for the red/blue inspiration for the 4th.

15  Fold-over Maxi Skirt; $16

Navy blue and a brighter royal blue can both work for the 4th. This is a great look to pair for a casual beach look or just with a tank or tee. Comfy and chic is a great combo!

16  Tie-dye Hi-lo skirt; $20

This is another great look to pair for your beach ensemble or other general need for a great 4th of July look!

17 Denim Vest-$23

I’m not big on vests, but I see people in them all the time. This could be a great piece for one to top of a July 4th look, with the red and white pinstripe effect to the denim.

I want to now move onto Kohls, another great spot for in-store or online shopping. The prices can be a bit higher, but generally are not too pricey, but you are paying for a slightly better quality product.

9  Hang Ten men’s swim trunks-22

Yes, I do have something for the men!! This is a great way to go with a 4th look, but not be in bright red and blue if you would rather have a more muted look. Great trunks sporting the American flag, can’t go wrong!

7  Portocruz Crochet Cover-up; $24

If you are wearing a red or blue bathing suit ladies, get this amazing white cover-up and you are all set for the 4th!!

8  Chaps colorblock dress-$40.50

This is a bit more dressy, but could easily be casual if paired with sandals or flats. So perfect for the 4th with the color-block of red, white and blue!

My last stop is at Macy’s-some great pieces for both the guys and the ladies!

1  International Concepts, Blue Maxi-42.99

I have a royal blue maxi, so yes, everyone must have one also! This is a great option and can have straps up or down for a halter effect. Its a great length and would be great for the 4th or really anytime-dressy or casual!

6  Nautica swim trunks-$40

This is a more traditional swim trunk for males on the 4th, standard horizontal rows of red, white and blue. But certainly muted and not in bright bold colors!

4  Jessica Simpson bikini-$50

You can’t do July 4th looks and not have some bathing suit options. This is a great bikini with open-hoops on the side and strapless bandu top. The bikini is royal blue with tiny white polka dots and looks great! Add some red if you want and you would be good to go!

5  Bikini Lab bikini-$20

This is another great swimwear option, in red and for less money. Solid red bottoms and a striped red and white print for the top. Again, add some blue if you want and you are ready to celebrate the 4th!!
